This is the Locomotive section of The Chuffing Chough colour scheme from the Trevithick collection by KernowBrix. It was designed in honour of KernowBrix Cornish heritage and the Father of the Steam Engine here in Cornwall Richard Trevithick. It has taken its design influence strongly from the Emerald Night A2 Class as a starting point and is an attempt to make it look more like the Gresley/Peppercorn Pacific Class A2. The wheel setup is the same as the A2 and A3-A and A3-B standing at 4-6-2, however the wheel base and boiler are slightly longer than its counterparts making it a bit longer over all.
It is designed to be tender powered and has been built with lights in mind. It can be powered by the older 9v train motor, power functions motor or the new powered up motor. The instructions show for the powered up motor but it is easy enough to modify for the other motors and controls and has been designed with this in mind. The train has a fire door that can be opened and the flames altered to run a cable for lights from the powerpack in the tender or you can rig your own lights or buy our KernowBrix Lighting Solutions which does not require a cable from the tender and has its own battery.

This is the Corridor Tender of The Chuffing Chough colour scheme from the Trevithick Class collection by KernowBrix. The tender is powered and has been built with lights in mind. It can be powered by the older 9v train motor, power functions motor or the new powered up motor. The instructions show for the powered up motor but it is easy enough to modify for the other motors and controls and has been designed with this in mind. The coal shute can be modified to allow a cable to power the lights in the locomotive section or you can buy our KernowBrix Lighting Solutions which does not require a cable from the tender and has its own battery.

This is the Water Tender of The Chuffing Chough colour scheme from the Trevithick Class collection by KernowBrix. Like the Emerald Night Class A2 we decided to design a Water Tender for the Trevithick Class collection too. This tender has been designed with being powered as well in mind in order to provide more pulling power for longer trains. It too has been built with lights in mind. The Tender can be powered by the older 9v train motor, power functions motor or the new powered up motor. The instructions show for the powered up motor but it is easy enough to modify for the other motors and controls and has been designed with this in mind. This tender has also been designed with lights in mind. If you do not want to power this section too you can remove the windows from the interconnecting doors on this tender and the corridor tender and runs light cables through as with previous trains by KernowBrix. Alternatively you can buy our KernowBrix Lighting Solutions which does not require a cable from the tender and has its own battery.
